In just a few days time, historic planes will be taking to the skies above Essex for the Clacton Air Show.
Final preparations are being made for the two-day event on August 22nd and 23rd.
Aerobatic pilot Richard Goodwin will be appearing in his iconic Pitts S2S biplane which has been modified for advanced level display flying.
The Rolls Royce Spitfire will also feature in one of the displays. The aircraft has a top speed of 446mph.
Alan Goggin from Tendring District Council said: “I must admit I am really excited about the programme which has been put together.
“The Tendring District Council team behind this popular event has really pulled out all the stops to bring together a wide and varied range of aircraft and flying skills to suit all tastes and it will be fantastic – especially if the weather holds.”
The event is now in its 22nd year and is expected to boost the local economy by £4million.
