A Norwich MP is going to swap the world of politics for a morning to experience life as an apprentice bricklayer.

The Liberal Democrat MP for Norwich South, Simon Wright, will learn how to lay a course of bricks before building a wall.

Mr Wright will be visiting construction firm CTS in Norwich on Friday and has been campaigning to increase the number of employers who take on apprentices as a way to drive down youth unemployment.

Simon Wright, said: “Apprenticeships are hugely important, particularly for young people looking to gain technical skills and experience, so I’m really excited at the opportunity to meet some apprentices in Norwich and learn more about the work they do.”
