All 2,500 animals at Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire are being weighed and measured as part of an annual survey.
One of the keepers, Darren Fellows, told ITV News Anglia that they have special scales to weigh the elephants and because the animals response to commands, the task of weighing them is not too difficult.
