Protest held ahead of school closure decision

Parents, pupils and teachers have staged a protest outside the offices of Essex County Council to try and save a school from closure.

The local authority is due to decide on Monday whether it can afford to keep open the Deanes School in Thundersley near Southend.

It's been threatened with closure because of falling admissions. But parents are worried that pupils' education will suffer if they're moved.
