Surgeons in Essex are among the first in the country to use 3D cameras and glasses during keyhole surgery.
Colchester General Hospital have begun using the new equipment. It costs around £80,000 which is about £30,000 more than a standard piece of equipment.
The 3D imagery allows surgeons to have greater accuracy which reduces the risk of muscle and nerve damage.
