The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has been downgraded by the health regulator, Monitor, for both its financial security and the way it is run.

The hospital's financial rating fell last month after a deterioration in its position during the first quarter. The governance rating was also amended from amber-green to amber-red after the hospital failed to meet C.Diff targets.
