Peterborough United striker Britt Assombalonga has been recognised for his early season form after being awarded the Football League's Young Player of the Month award for August.
The record summer arrival from Watford has made a blistering start to his London Road career, hitting 5 goals in 7 appearances in the opening month of the season.
The 20-year-old's partnership with fellow forward Tyrone Barnett has seen Posh climb to second place in the League One table as the club bid for an immediate return to The Championship.
Manager Darren Ferguson told the club's official website that Assombalonga has settled in quickly:
"I think when you score on the opening day it does give you that extra belief, but to be honest, his performances have been excellent since he walked in the door.
"He has formed a good partnership with Tyrone Barnett and he works extremely hard on the training pitch.
"He always wants to learn from the coaches and he picks things up quickly."
