Police have confirmed a body found in Market Deeping, near Peterborough, yesterday was a woman.
Officers were called to a field near Northfield Road at about 10.40am following the discovery.
Investigations are continuing today and a post mortem examination has been carried out.
Officers said the death was still being treated as unexplained and they are appealing for information.
