Firefighters worked with paramedics to release a man trapped under a roll of paper this lunchtime.
Crews were called out to Childeritch Industrial Park at Little Warley, near Brentwood, just before midday and had released him by just after 12.30pm. They left him in the care of the air ambulance.
Essex fire service said the call was received before today's strike action began and crews remained at work until the man had been released.
