Drivers experienced hours of delays this morning after a John Lewis lorry overturned and spilled fuel over part of the M1 in Hertfordshire.
The vehicle ended up on its side as a result of the crash near Junction 8 of the northbound carriageway.
It happened just before 6am. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved and no-one was hurt.
The road re-opened at 11am but the Highways Agency is warning of delays of up to two hours.
