Norwich City's Anthony Pilkington and Wes Hoolahan have been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad to face Germany and Kazakhstan in October.
The Boys in Green travel to Cologne to take on Germany on 11 October before hosting Kazakhstan in Dublin four days later.
Ireland find themselves in 4th position in World Cup Qualifying Group C after damaging defeats to rivals Sweden and Austria earlier this month and stand on the brink of elimination.
However, caretaker manager Noel King will be hoping to strengthen his case to be Giovanni Trapattoni's permanent successor with a couple of eye-catching victories.
Canaries winger Pilkington could be in line for his third cap against the Germans after making his debut in Trapattoni's last two fixtures, whilst Wes Hoolahan will be hoping to add to the seven appearances he has made for his country so far.
