MK Dons have been handed a double injury blow after the club announced that Dele Alli and Dean Bowditch will both be for sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Promising youngster Alli, who is widely considered as one of the hottest prospects in the Football League, limped off towards the back-end of last week's victory over Stevenage.
Dons Head of Sports Medicine Simon Crampton has now confirmed to the club's official website that the injury will rule the 17-year-old out for the next two months.
"Dele was injured after a tackle in the win over Stevenage last weekend.
"Unfortunately he has suffered a rupture to one of his ligaments in his ankle. This means he will now need to undergo a period of treatment and rehabilitation and is likely to be sideline for up to 8-10 weeks.”
Meanwhile, striker Bowditch is also some way off a return to first-team action after he suffered a setback that will keep him out for a while yet.
The former Ipswich Town trainee underwent groin surgery in the summer.
