An inmate serving a life sentence at a prison in Suffolk is preparing to take legal action to stop the site from being closed.

In September the Government announced HMP Blundeston, near Lowerstoft, would shut by the end of the year because it wasn't fit for purpose.

Lawyers for a prisoner have now written to the Justice Secretary Chris Grayling, arguing their decision to close the site was based on out of date information.
