Police say work to clear the northbound A1 at Diddington near St Neots is continuing after the road was completely blocked by a coach crash. Passengers were heading to Newcastle from London when their coach was in collision with a lorry.
Police say 14 passengers were taken to hospitals in Cambridge and Huntingdon, most with minor injuries. The others have been taken to a rest centre to waiting for a replacement coach to continue their journey. One lane of the road heading southbound has now re-opened.
Cambridgeshire Police have launched an investigation. They are appealing for witnesses to the crash to contact them on 101.
