Colchester United have extended the loan spell of Jeffrey Monakana until early December.
The Preston North End winger has made a good impression since arriving at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, playing five times and scoring on his debut in a 2-2 draw with Bradford City last month.
19-year-old Monakana will continue to provide valuable cover on the flanks for the U's, with the likes of Sanchez Watt and Drey Wright ruled out with injury for the foreseeable future.
Monakana is the second loanee to extend his stay with Colchester in the last week, with Everton's Luke Garbutt signing a similar loan extension on Friday.
