King's Lynn hospital chief quits

The chair of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn has stepped down from her post- just as the Trust is expected to be placed into special measures any day now.

Staff at the hospital were told this morning that Kate Gordon had taken the decision to leave her post immediately. Back in August the Care Quality Commission critcised the QEH for poor staffing levels and missed A and E times.

Now, the West Norfolk MP's Henry Bellingham and Elizabeth Truss are planning to meet the health minister to address the issues at the hospital. Our Political Correspondent Emma Hutchinson was asked of the hospital was already in special measures...
