Clear-up after St Jude storm

The Anglia region was hit by damaging winds and heavy rain after an Atlantic storm swept across the UK on Monday 28 October - St Jude's Day. Nearly half a million homes were left without power in the region and there was major travel disruption.

Storm damage in Suffolk

Suffolk Police say a tree has been blown onto a house in Felixstowe and a section of roofing has been blown onto a railway line in Ipswich.

Police say no one appears to have been hurt when the tree fell into the house in Beatrice Avenue, Felixstowe.

Since midnight, police have taken in excess of 30 weather-related calls. Many of these relate to trees down across roads but there have been several incidents where power lines have come down
