Colchester United have signed former West Ham United youngster Dominic Vose on a free transfer.
The 19-year-old has impressed whilst on trial with the U's and has put pen to paper on an initial monthly contract.
Vose left Premier League outfit West Ham in December last year before joining Barnet.
Speaking to the club's official website, U's manager Joe Dunne said that Vose could benefit from a fresh start:
"We are pleased to have him on board.
"He's had a successful trial and fits the bill of someone who has lost his way in the game a bit, but has the drive and hunger to get back into it again.
"That desire and hungry is really important to me. He will go straight into Saturday's squad for the trip to Rotherham."
