Sue Cook, the Director of Children and Young People's Services at Suffolk County Council, admits that the standard of Suffolk education needs to improve.
She was responding to an investigation by the education watchdog Ofsted in which nearly a fifth of 33 schools investigated in the county were judged to be inadequate.
