Stansted plays a starring role in huge Philippines aid effort

85 tonnes of supplies are on their way from Stansted Airport to the Philippines, to help with the huge aid effort.

A Boeing 747 cargo plane packed with everything from vehicles and tents to generators left the Essex airport this morning, heading to the two million people left homeless by the catastrophic typhoon.
