A leading firm of architects says a new airport in the Thames estuary would solve the need for more runway capacity in the East of England.

Designers at Foster and Partners have drawn up plans for a four runway Thames Hub airport which they say would cost £20 billion to build.

Earlier this week a group of economists said building an extra runway at Stansted would contribute almost £6 billion a year to the region's economy
