Ely in Cambridgeshire has been named as the kindest city in the country. It was awarded the title after it came top in a survey carried out by a soft drinks company.
Councillor Elaine Griffin-Singh, Ely's Mayor, said: "We've got the Cathedral, that obviously enriches our lives. We've got two market days a week, it's just a great place to live so if you're happy, then you're friendly, then you're kind."
