A five year old Mare who is in foal to the famous race Horse Frankel, has sold at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale in Newmarket.
The Mare, Dancing Rain, was a renowned front-runner on the Flat and also claimed the British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes at Ascot in 2011.
John Ferguson, the bloodstock advisor for Sheikh Mohammed, paid 4 million guineas for Dancing Rain last night.
Frankel retired to stud a year ago in the hope he would go on to produce a new generation of race horses.
