Police car involved in crash

Officers are at the scene of a crash that took place earlier this evening in Norwich involving a police car and a taxi.

It happened at about 6.50pm on the A140 Boundary Road at the junction with Aylsham Road.

The police vehicle, a Ford Transit Connect, was responding to an emergency call at the time.

Norfolk Police said the male driver of the taxi complained of neck pain but was otherwise unhurt and did not need treatment.

The male driver of the police car sustained a minor injury to his arm. No one else was involved.

Boundary Road remains closed while the vehicles are recovered and drivers have been warned to expect lengthy delays into the evening as enquiries continue.
