Man due in court charged with manslaughter after car park death

A man is due at Luton crown court today charged with manslaughter after the death of a 64-year-old in a car park in Biggleswade.

Alan Watts, 65, is accused of killing Brian Holmes, who was knocked to the ground after a row over a disabled parking space at the Asda supermarket on August 3rd.

Mr Holmes, from Sandy in Bedfordshire was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge with head injuries but died the next day. A post mortem revealed he died from a head injury. Days before he died, he had been given the 'all clear' from cancer.
