Peterborough United have moved to within touching distance of securing a new-year Wembley date after beating Newport County in the Southern Section Area Semi-Final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Goals from Kgosi Ntlhe, Grant McCann and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing handed Posh a comfortable 3-0 victory over their League Two opponents.
They'll now face Swindon Town over two legs in the Area Final in February for a place at Wembley, where the winner will take on the champion from the Northern Section.
