NHS report highlights alleged Colchester Hospital cancer failings

A damning NHS England report has been released today, revealing the full extent of Colchester hospital's failings in cancer treatment.

It highlights "serious failings" - including delays to diagnosis and treatment.

Urology, skin, brain, sarcoma, and radiology - were the five departments identified where treatment was considered "unsafe".

The findings follow an earlier report by the Care Quality Commission which suggested staff had been "bullied" into changing data.
