Bikers dressed as Santa bring Christmas cheer to hospital kids

Hundreds of motorcyclists have taken part in a toy run in Cambridgeshire delivering presents to sick children at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

They rode from Anglesey Abbey into Cambridge with a police escort, to give gifts to youngsters who will have to stay in the hospital over Christmas.

Organiser Peter Vasey said: "Bikers enjoy doing this kind of thing - you'll find bike runs all over the country for various different hospitals at Easter and Christmas. I hadn't been able to find one since I moved here and this year I thought if there isn't one on, I'll give it a go."

The visit had been organised with the help of the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust and each rider brought a gift for a sick child.
