Woodpeckers sending out love calls to attract a mate, have left an ancient church in Essex with a hefty repair bill.
The holes they've pecked in the spire at All Saints Church in Stisted, along with a leaking roof will cost up to £200,000 to fix.
The work can now be carried out thanks to a grant from the heritage lottery fund.
