Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust have appointed Kim Hodgson as its new interim Chief Executive.
She replaces Dr Gordon Coutts who resigned from his position last month following allegations that staff were bullied into changing cancer patient records.
A trained nurse, Ms Hodgson was the former Chief Executive for East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust and has spent the last three years working continuously with the NHS, specialising in health service improvement.
She will formally take up the interim position next Monday.
Sue Barnett, Deputy Chief Executive at the Trust, today publicly announced her resignation. Sue took charge of the Trust briefly at the end of 2013 after former Chief Executive Dr Gordon Coutts did not return to his post following a period of sick leave.
