Valuable ring stolen as spate of burglaries continue

A £3,000 diamond ring has been in stolen in one of a number of burglaries in the Norwich area.

Norfolk Police are urging homeowners to be vigilant following the latest spate of break-ins which took place over the weekend.

Between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday, burglars targeted a home at Soleme Road.

They took a large amount of jewellery including a ring worth £3,000 and featuring 19 diamonds.

Alcohol was also taken and the gas fire was removed and left next to the fireplace.

Earlier in the day, between 2am and 7.15am, burglars broke into a mid-terraced house at Romany Road and stole a laptop.

Norfolk Police said these latest thefts came as police were already investigating a large number of burglaries across the city.
