Katherine Rednall and her school chums celebrate her victory in the World Indoor Bowls Championship

Norwich and Stowmarket in Suffolk are separated by just 37 miles, but they have been at the centre of a titantic tussle for world glory.

Defending World Indoor Bowls Champion Rebecca Field from Norfolk was battling with Suffolk student Katherine Rednall over the 2014 title at Hopton near Great Yarmouth.

With a world title at stake the regional rivalry between the two counties had been at an all-time high but it was Suffolk that triumphed creating the world's youngest indoor bowls champion.

Katherine Rednall will be back at school in Stowmarket just a day after her classmates celebrated her victory.
