Clacton explosion: Injured pair currently in a stable condition in hospital

A man and a woman who suffered serious burns after an explosion in Clacton earlier today are currently in a stable condition in hospital.

The pair were rushed to the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns at Broomfield Hospital near Chelmsford.

Broomfield Hospital say that they are continuing to carefully monitor both patients and that there will be no further updates today.
