Residents living close to the Perkins site in Peterborough are being urged to stay indoors while a controlled explosion is carried out on an unstable chemical.
The alert was raised at 1:30 this morning and staff were evacuated. A 500 metre cordon has been put up around the area. The controlled explosion is due to happen in the next half hour.
