MK Dons midfielder Darren Potter has signed a new two-year contract with the League One club.

The former Liverpool man, who is a key player at Stadium MK, has now committed his future to the Dons until 2016.

“He’s been consistently one of our best performers over the past three seasons," manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website.

“Every team has an integral part of the group and I’m sure that the players would agree when I say that he’s huge for us and the development of our young players."

It's been a busy day for the Dons, with the club also signing young Bolton Wanderers winger Sanmi Odelusi.

Odelusi's Bolton teammate Cian Bolger has joined Southend United on a month's loan.
