Three arrests for possession of offensive weapons

Three men have been arrested in Luton on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons after members of the public reported seeing a group of men brandishing weapons at a shop in Sundon Park Parade.

The incident happened on Friday 7 March when a group of men entered Greggs the Bakers armed with a crowbar and a gun.

Bedfordshire Police said unarmed officers quickly responded to the call for help and one officer detained a man armed with a crowbar in Tenth Avenue. Another had fled in to a nearby shop and was also quickly arrested along with a third man.

Three men were questioned and released on bail.
