Cut in duty could 'secure bingo halls for the future'

Bingo halls in the East have welcomed the Chancellor's announcement that bingo duty is to be cut from 20% to 10%.

Neil Cox, manager of Palace Bing in Great Yarmouth, said it would "secure more bingo halls for the future".

He added: "As the Chancellor said yesterday, three quarters of bingo clubs have closed down in the last 30 years, so that will give you an idea.
