A doorstep fraudster who tricked a pensioner into handing him cash has been jailed.
Liam Schneider, who was previously jailed in 2011 after admitting targeting more than 100 vulnerable pensioners, struck again on August 21 last year.
The 38-year-old knocked on the door of an 86-year-old Alzheimer's sufferer in Orton Malborne, claiming to need money for gas and electric. When she handed him £3 he asked for more and she gave a further £5.
The victim told a relative who challenged Schneider when he returned to the house later the same day.
Schneider, of Cavendish Street, Eastfield, Peterborough, was arrested and charged with fraud. He pleaded guilty and was jailed for two years at Peterborough Crown Court.
