The body of a British man who was believed to have been kidnapped by men posing as police officers has been washed up on a Spanish beach.
Merseyside Police today confirmed that the body of missing Liverpool man Francis Brennan has been found on a beach in the La Zenia area of Alicante.
The 25-year-old fled to Spain while awaiting sentence for a stabbing at a Swedish House Mafia concert in Milton Keynes in 2012.
He was last seen in the town of Javea where he was apparently handcuffed by fake police officers in a bogus arrest in January.
