Artists impression of sex attacker

Police in Corby are re-appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the town nearly two weeks ago. The assault happened in Oakley Road, on Monday, 31 March, at about 11.30pm, and detectives have now released an artist’s impression of the suspect.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was pushing her bicycle along the footpath on Oakley Road, near the Lidl supermarket, away from the town centre, when she was approached by a man. The man spoke to her and made sexual advances, which were rebuffed.

The man then dragged the woman into the bushes beside an alleyway near Shannon Court and the Lyvedon Way roundabout and assaulted her. The offender was disturbed by a member of the public who chased him away.
