Inquest into death of former screen star

An inquest will be held into the death of actress Jean Kent following a fall at her home in Suffolk. The 92-year-old, who was one of Britain's biggest TV and film stars of the 1940s and 1950s, died in hospital last year.

Inquest into death of Jean Kent

The actress Jean Kent died last November.

Paramedics were called to Ms Kent's home in Church Road, Westhorpe, near Stowmarket, at around 11.30am on November 28 after a report that she had been found collapsed inside the property.

She was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, where she died two days later.

Suffolk Police said that, following an investigation, officers found no evidence that Ms Kent had been assaulted.

Ms Kent acted in 45 films and starred alongside Marilyn Monroe, Michael Redgrave and Laurence Olivier during her career.
