Northampton Town have completed the signing of former striker Marc Richards on a three-year contract.
The 31-year-old opted to re-sign for the Cobblers after turning down a new deal with League Two champions Chesterfield.
Richards played over 50 games during his first spell at Sixfields, before he left to join Barnsley in 2005.
