Clacton gets 'seagull proof' bin bags

Special measures are being taken to protect Clacton from the blight of seagulls.

New bin bags are being used which the birds can't rip open. There have been complaints about seagulls attacking rubbish sacks, leaving food and waste strewn across the street.

Tendring District Council is trialling the new bags which are reuseable.
