A batch of contaminated food supplement given to premature babies could have claimed the life of a third baby, health officials have said.

More babies in our region fall ill in the neonatal blood poisoning scare

It's emerged that more babies and hospitals in our region have been affected by an outbreak of blood poisoning in neonatal units.

Public Health England has confirmed that a baby in Peterborough has become ill, while the batch of liquid nutrients being linked to the outbreak has also been supplied to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, though no children there have been poisoned.

There's also one probable case at Southend Hospital, and another possible case at Basildon Hospital
