A body has been found off the coast of Felixstowe during the search for a missing woman whose yacht collided with a dredger over the weekend.
This afternoon, the coastguard admitted hopes of finding the sailor alive had faded and Norfolk Fire Service's diving team was brought in to scour the water.
They found the body at about 5pm today five nautical miles out to sea.
This evening, police confirmed it was believed to be that of the missing woman. Her family have been informed.
She was one of two people on board the yacht when it crashed and sank on Sunday.
A man and a dog were rescued by lifeboat crews that afternoon.A second dog, believe to have also been on the yacht, has not been found.
Formal identification has yet to take place and a post mortem examination will be carried out some time over the next few days.
