A £50m development in Northamptonshire has been given the go-ahead by the government.
Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, visited the site at Rushden Lakes today, which is set to be transformed into a shopping and leisure complex.
It's expected the project will provide around 2,000 new jobs to the local area. Once completed, the complex will boast big-name stores, multiple restaurants, a hotel and a waterside activity centre.
While the news was welcomed by the local community, there have been objections from other nearby towns.
