Colchester United have signed striker Dan Holman from Conference club Braintree Town.
The 24-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the U's, and had recently spent time on trial with Southend United.
Holman scored 13 goals for Braintree last season, and previously played for Histon.
“Dan is a player we have watched on many occasions over the past two seasons and we’re delighted we were able to bring him in," manager Joe Dunne said.
“He gives us another option in the forward areas of the pitch and has the ability to create and score goals for us.”
