Woman attacked in Ipswich: Police appeal for help

Police in Ipswich are appealing for information after a woman was attacked as she walked towards an alleyway.

She was grabbed by a man while walking into the alleyway off Sherrington Road in Ipswich. The attacker pushed her against a wall and demanded her mobile phone. She managed to struggle free and ran off.

The attacker's white, 20-30 years old, around 5'9'' tall, of slim build with a shaven head. He had an Eastern European accent and wore a grey t shirt with wording in a diagonal pattern across the front and dark jogging bottoms.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident at 2.30pm on Saturday 9 August.
