Detectives in Norfolk are looking into the possibility of whether a man who avoided capture for 18 years after he brutally raped a pregnant woman might be responsible for other serious crimes.
Peter Carroll, who is 56, was jailed on Friday for 20 years for almost choking a pregnant woman to death and raping her in Trowse just outside Norwich.
Carroll was eventually caught due to advances in DNA. Police are looking at possible connections with other cold cases.
