Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has confirmed that he is willing to allow midfielder Anthony Wordsworth to leave the club.
The 25-year-old has struggled to hold down a first team place at Portman Road since joining from Colchester United last year.
“I have spoken to him and he’s available now to go out on loan or to join a club permanently.
He needs to be out there playing games.”
Meanwhile, McCarthy also admitted that former fans' favourite Darren Ambrose is training with Town, but doesn't expect things to progress any further.
"It’s not a trial or anything like that. It’s just like Jack Collison who is also with us. Darren asked if he can train with us.
We’re happy to let him do that but it’s no more than that."
